Bulk food shopping is a great way to avoid excess packaging and reduce the plastic waste created by our food products. These bulk food bags can be used again and again to buy food in bulk and transport your goodies home. The three sizes will suit a wide range of bulk food, from pasta and rice, to flour, muesli and coffee beans. The starter set includes a tote bag and a carry case to make it even easier to take your bags with you, and bring your bulk products home.
The bulk food bags are an easy and lightweight way to buy in bulk and avoid the need to take bulky jars or use plastic bags. Top up your storage jars when you get home and the bags are ready to use again next time you go to your local bulk food store. While some items can be stored in the bags (like pasta), for items that require airtight storage – it is recommended that items be transferred to an airtight container rather than be kept in the bags.
The bags come in three sizes:
- Small – 27cm long x 11cm wide with 6.5cm gusset
- Medium – 35cm long x 15cm wide with 8.5cm gusset
- Large – 40cm long x 21cm wide with 10.5cm gusset
The starter set includes:
- One small, medium and large bulk food bag
- A shopping tote – 30cm long x 39.5cm wide with 24cm gusset (includes built in pouch). Double lined base makes this a strong bag, and the extra wide gusset makes it easy to fill with your products.
- Bulk set carry case – when folded 22cm wide x 11.5cm long. The carry case holds up to 6 bulk food bags so you can add to the original set of three should you need more bags.
